I did not put this one in the romance category even though it is published under the Crimson Romance imprint and even though it has some aspects of the romance genre So while Rachel one of the main characters in the story does find true love so many others are left heartbroken There wasn t a huge sense of place in the Brooklyn neighborhoods of Flatbush and Borough Park as there was a feel for the Jews that inhabit them with a post traumatic Holocaust survivor weary of dark Jews and a lot of emphasis on wearing the right clothes going to the right yeshiva and having the right family background Although all the young ladies were looking to get married the dynamics of each girl s trajectory were different which added some suspense to the plot So again while there were elements of romance miscommunications unlikely couples getting together the stories and the social commentary had substance that the usual bodice ripper Not to be confused with the urban African American Brooklyn Love series

Summary Brooklyn Love ´ eBook, ePUB or Kindle PDF Free read Brooklyn Love Even though she hates computers Her mom a struggling immigrant has fixed ideas about the course to success and marriage which doesn’t include any of Leah’s wishes What will it take for Leah to break out of her mom’s and community’s expectations and follow her dreamsIn Brooklyn Love three Orthodox Jewish women who are caught between crushing guilt of defying their mothers and their desire to be “normal” are there for each other as they try to figure out who they really are and what they really wan. I absolutely LOVED Brooklyn Love I love happily ever afters with no sex scenes but lots of romance and it fit the bill perfectly As an Orthodox Jewish woman myself I felt very connected to this book but would have been happy to share it with my non Jewish friends as well When I had to put BL away before Shabbos because I was reading it on an e reader it was painful so painful Now that I m done I m learning for Yael Levy s next book to come out Thank goodness it s less than 10 days away Pros I found myself getting very wrapped up emotionally in the lives of Hindy Leah and Rachel At times I became so absorbed with their stories that I wanted to jump into the pages of my e reader and yell at them or cry with them All of the characters were very relateble I loved the fact that they were so diverse yet shared a similar set of values The wanting to move out of the house part was very relatable I lived at home before I got married and understood where these characters were coming from Cons The Epilogue wasn t really an epilogue it happened like a week later The term Brooklyn Love was overused and seemed cliche An Orthodox woman I ve NEVER heard this term but marrying for security rather than love is something that happens EVERYWHERE in EVERY type of religious socioeconomic community Leah s ending wasn t wrapped up The Bottom Live BL REUIRES a seuel
